Walk through

Here is a short virtual walk-through the building. Please feel free to give us your impressions and ideas.

The New Centre will become a centre of excellence in marine research, conservation and education in Croatia. The interdisciplinary approach and multipurpose design of the Centre will provide a variety of facilities and programmes for numerous research, education and conservation functions:

·         The state of the art permanent exhibition accompanied with featured temporary exhibitions will highlight the education programmes and public awareness of the marine environment;

·         High-school, primary-school and kindergarten programmes licensed by Croatian teachers training agency will show a strong commitment to education of future generations;

·         Hands-on conservation through the rescue facility will act as a hub for the highly endangered marine turtles of the region drawing the empathy and attention of the general public;

·         Higher education programmes, in cooperation with Croatian and European Universities, will draw experts and researchers from the entire European region and beyond, making this a high profile serious education facility;

·         Maintaining its status as the high profile tourist attraction on the island will ensure a high impact on the economy of the island and aid the extension of the summer season;

·         Other activities, like Dolphin day, training of entrepreneurs in sustainable development, organisation of a documentary film festival, international meetings and conferences are just some of the other activities of the new education Centre which will attract local, national and international attention.

Blue World seeks partners to share this vision and show a long-term commitment to participate in the reconstruction of the building and the development of the content of this new Centre. Partners should consider that a partnership of five to seven years and a substantial financial investment will be needed for the completion of the construction of the project and development of its contents.  This investment in time and money will be balanced by the high profile nature of the project and substantial public recognition. Partners can expect high quality promotion of their brand through recognition with Blue World and this Centre. In addition partners can expect other benefits, such as use of Centre for private meetings, celebrations and team building activities.

Many forms of partnership can be considered, from co-branding to formal input on project development. Major partners will be invited to have representatives on the board of directors and participate in decision making. Full transparency will be a priority with all partners receiving regular reports and presentations. Blue World has an extensive and successful experience in developing and managing the original Centre in Veli Lošinj. We welcome potential partners to come and visit the Centre and the staff of Blue World to gain a firsthand impression of the potential for partnership.
