Students of Biology, Veterinary Medicine, Geography and other natural sciences

Blue World invites students interested in biology, veterinary medicine and related fields to join us in the form of student practice. Your position with us includes participation in all activities carried out and includes collecting and processing data related to the dolphin research, work in our Lošinj marine education centre, and lectures. Your accommodation will be organized in our research-base in Veli Lošinj, together with other students, researchers and volunteers of Blue World with whom you will share ordinary and everyday tasks such as cooking and / or cleaning.

The living environment where you will find yourself leads to a continuous exchange of information, enables fast learning and gaining experience, and leads to a vibrant and interesting discussion among members. Life at home is usually a continuation of the fieldwork. It is therefore important to have a good ability to work, live and communicate with others, you should be able to acknowledge and appreciate the differences that may exist between people and that you can work and cooperate in sometimes exhausting working conditions. The Blue World team has members from different countries across Europe. Therefore, the main language spoken in everyday use is English and your knowledge of English is one of the important prerequisites to participate in this program .

Your accommodation will be with Blue World, and for food you will need to set aside certain funds

To join us you need:

-  Have a knowledge of biology / ecology and related fields
-  Use the English language (written and spoken)
-  To be able to work, live and communicate with others
-  Have the enthusiasm and commitment

To sign up for our student program e-mail your CV, in English, give your previously acquired knowledge and experience and a brief letter that will explain your reasons and motivation for participation, how long you will stay in our fieldbase and how you will use your time. Priority will be given to early applicants, applicants with car driving licence, and those that can communicate in multiple languages.
