We were informed of two sightings of whales in the vicinity of Vis island! The first sighting was near Greben islet, and the following close to Drvenik. We will try to find them of course, but if you see them or have some information – please inform us!

On several occasions in previous years in the area north of the Vis and towards the Jabuka pit we have observed or followed fin whales. Fin whale (Balaenoptera physaus) is the only baleen whale species in the Mediterranean and it occasionally appears in the Adriatic. The reason for their occurrence is most likely connected with the appearance of krill in the spring.
For more information check our previous sightings.
