„ISLANDS IN THE SEA OF KNOWLEDGE“ is a new project of the Blue World Institute in partnership with the Croatian Museum of Natural History, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, the City of Mali Lošinj, Blue World Vis and Geopark Vis associations.

The goal of the project is to train associations involved in the project by scientific institutions on how to organize educational activities by designing innovative and interactive educational content. The project aims to implement series of activities to popularize science and technology (STEM) and to enhence the associations to organize various natural sciences education programs for children and young people from the islands of Lošinj and Vis.

The project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund as part of Call UP.04.2.1.10 “Strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations to popularize STEM” in the total value of HRK 1,534,268.40. Grants were provided from the European Social Fund (85%) and the State Budget of the Republic of Croatia (15%).
