As part of the activities of the LIFE DELFI project from 14th to 16th of August, we hosted representatives of partner organizations from Italy – Legambiente Onlus and the University of Siena, who arrived in Mali Lošinj harbor with the schooner ‘Goletta Verde/ Goletta dei delfini’.

 

The mission of this attractive schooner is to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving dolphins and the marine environment and to promote the activities of the LIFE Delfi project.

 

During their stay on Lošinj, we organized visits to the ship Goletta Verde and presentations of the LIFE DELFI project for all interested citizens. Among the project’s activities, we particularly highlighted the citizen science application Marine Ranger, through which everyone can get involved in the research and monitoring of dolphins in the Mediterranean and thus help scientists. The youngest visitors had a great time participating in an educational workshop about dolphins organized on board of ‘Goletta Verde’.
