The Blue World Institute was founded exactly 25 years ago! We celebrated this important anniversary by organizing a ceremony at the Apoxyomenos Museum in Mali Lošinj. During this special event, we presented many years of our work and achievements, highlighting the most important projects and collaborations with partners and members of the local community. Besides to joyful party, this was also an opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us throughout all these years and thus contributed to our success.

With this event, we also celebrated the completion of the LIFE Delfi project, which the Blue World Institute has been implementing since 2018. With the aim to reduce the negative consequences of interactions between dolphins and fishing activities in the Adriatic Sea, this project contributed to the protection of these endangered marine mammals and raising awareness of their importance in marine ecosystem. Many of the project activities took place in the Lošinj area in cooperation with local stakeholders. The ceremony was therefore also an opportunity to present the results of this successful project, which has had a significant impact on the protection of the marine environment, and to express gratitude to all partners, donors and participants who made its realization possible.

This project was implemented with the contribution of the LIFE financial instrument of the European Union and Office for cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
