The partners of the project “SOUNDSCAPE: Soundscapes in the North Adriatic Sea and their impact on marine biological resources” funded by EU CBC Programme Interreg Italy-Croatia programme are currently meeting in Split. The first (or kick-off) meeting is being hosted by the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (IOF) who is the project lead partner. During the following two days an overview of the project will be carried out, basic rules of implementation of project will be presented and partners will review the activities of the different work packages. The work packages are the following: WP 1 – Project management and coordination of activities (led by IOF), WP 2 – Communication activities (led by Fondazione Cetacea), WP 3 – Soundscape Assessment (led by IOF), WP 4 – Data collection about target species (led by the Blue World Institute) and WP-5 Soundscape modelling and planning impact mitigation measures and scenarios (led by CNR-ISMAR). We are looking forward to presenting our common achievements!
