The Blue World Institute members and volunteers celebrated the World Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 15, 2018. BWI regularly participates in clean-up actions, and this year as a partner of the European Act4litter project we decided to start systematic monitoring and analysis of waste on our beaches. In the morning hours, we went with our research boat to Jamna Bay, on the south of island of Lošinj. The majority of the waste that we collected were made of plastic followed by paper, rubber, metal and wood items.
