The Blue World Institute celebrated World Sea Turtle Day on Tuesday, June 16th 2015 in Sea Turtle rescue center in the Sunčana uvala in Mali Lošinj. World Sea Turtle Day is a day used to honor and highlight the importance of sea turtles and would not be rightfully celebrated without mentioning dr. Archie Carr, “father of sea turtle biology”.

In some countries, on this day people wear green dresses or organize the masked balls with mandatory turtle costumes. The Blue World Institute organized a lot of educational workshops and lecture about sea turtles. More than seventy children attended this event. The best reward was to see the happy faces of the children at the end of the celebration.
