On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Blue World Institute, we organized the Open Door Day, an event where we want to acquaint the general public with our activities. On this occasion, we presented our ongoing projects to all interested visitors.
Special emphasis was placed on the problem of underwater noise. Our senior researcher Tihana Vučur Blazinić held a presentation entitled ‘Sea of noise’, in which she also presented the activities of the
UNDERSEA project co-financed through the Interreg Italy – Croatia programme.
The biggest novelty among the presented activities was the announcement of the academic training program for students ‘SFS – Center for the Conservation of Marine Megafauna’, which is carried out in cooperation with
the School for Field Studies organization from the USA.
This year’s Open Day was organized as part of the activities of the project “
Islands in a Sea of Knowledge,” co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund. The content of this post is the sole responsibility of the Blue World Institute.
